GilmourFan
Well, I just saw this new notice about the new PRO's. I noticed that the SG's only had 2 colours (Cherry and Ebony) and the LP's have many. So, do the SG have more colours or just those 2? And which one has a better relationship between Quality - Price?
Stevie Nazarenie
http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Electrics/SG/G-400-PRO.aspx Seem to be just the 2 colours. I like the fact you can see the wood on the cherry. I always go for those see through finishes. It says they do a left hand cherry too.
Parabar
Well, I just saw this new notice about the new PRO's. I noticed that the SG's only had 2 colours (Cherry and Ebony) and the LP's have many. SG's are much simpler guitars to build, which is why they're priced lower. Some players like the lighter weight and brighter tone of the SG, others prefer the visual and tonal characteristics of the LP --- neither is necessarily better than the other. Both use essentially the same pickups, electronics and hardware, so it comes down to which you prefer, for whatever reasons --- tone, weight, shape, finishes, or a combination of them. GilmourFan
Take a look at this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-limited-edition-1966-g-400-pro-electric-guitar Are these going to be availabe in Europe? I've been looking for them in european shops and found nothing... These colours are good and I still prefer full pickguard rather than the cutted pickguard on the standard SG's.
