E-minor7
Not seldom you run into texts saying Jimmy Page played a Hummingbird at some point. Well, , , I know he played the J-200 seen in Jannusguy2's avatar, but where is the evidence he used a Bird. Just curious, , , , and how about Marc Bolan – seen some pics of him with what could be a Bird, but Parsons, , , Epiphone Frontier and Dove yes, , , Bird ?, , , eeeeehhh. . . . Is this half crap ? If not, I apologize - I

zombywoof
Wasn't that J-200 borrowed from producer Mickey Most and then stolen? Page himself though said the one guitar he kept going back to was his Harmony Sovereign. Those guitars had quite a following in the day. Pete Townsend and Rory Gallgher both played the 12 string version.
E-minor7
Wasn't that J-200 borrowed from producer Mickey Most and then stolen? Yes indeed - used on 2 or 3 Donovan traks also, , , , and by Mister Jinder of this very Board.
guitom
Darrell Scott, John Hiatt and Loudon Wainwright III have all written songs about their Hummingbirds, yet none are listed here. At least two of the songs are absolutely autobiographical. I don't know if the JH song is.
Smurfbird
I assume Page's Harmony Sovereign was adjusted a bit. I knew a kid growing up who had one and it was the most difficult guitar to play. Action at 12th fret must've been at least 1-11/16" and that's not the nut width! zombywoof
Wasn't it Hiatt who called the HB the greatest rock & roll acoustic on the face of the planet?
zombywoof
Hey, why isn't the Rasputin of rock and roll, the Shaman of rhytmn, the Verdi of all HB players listed. You add all that together and only name leaps forth - Justin Beiber.
E-minor7
Wasn't it Hiatt who called the HB the greatest rock & roll acoustic on the face of the planet? Yes, and Hiatt in the same breath even compared it to a hi-hat.
