is Jacaranda a type of Brazilian or is it just a name gibson gave a certain batch of brazilian ?

If it is really jacaranda, it is a tree totally unrelated to rosewood. It is native to South America. Google it.

where was jacaranda mentioned? never mind, i saw it on the youtube description. that has to be a mistake....

The common name for Brazilian rosewood(dalbergia nigra) in Brazil is "Jacarandá da Bahia". As a result, it's not uncommon for "Jacaranda" to get misused in English for Brazilian rosewood. I didn't see a date on the website, but this an old one, maybe old enough to be Brazilian. (If it is Brazilian, 700,000 yen is an very good price.)
