Man, I hate that durned Arlen.....

 

I've been trying to nail that bending notes within the chord thing for a while now.

 

If'n I take a deep breath and concentrate real hard I can set myself up and just about do it.

 

Once. Once in a lick or a run, maybe twice is a song. On a good day. With luck I hit the pitch too.

 

That Arlen, he just rolls off a dozen in two-score notes.

Arlen is a great teacher, been learning from his vhs stuff for years. I had the pleasure of seeing Arlen perform acoustic show, all Gibsons too FWIW.

 

Was also lucky enough to see Roy Buchanan. Humbling.

When Arlen was last in town we went out to Jack's BBQ and I taught that NY fellow what's what about pig. He's a great guy, really nice fellow, and I've rarely seen or heard a better player in my life. Astonishingly brilliant musician.
