the rarely seen Henry J

When all is said and done though, Henry J is probably the second most recognizable president of Gibson - after Ted McCarty.

Thing about Gibson is that it was the taking control of CMI by college educated businessmen and the pushing out of those who knew how to build guitars for a living that started the company on its downward spiral in the mid-1960s but it was also a college educated businessman who saved the company in the late 1980s.

I'm a bit mixed on the subject. At times I'm a bit ticky tack over some of the moves made during Henry's run. And then there was the Lacey thing, and that Ren thing. But when the subject is the business success of Gibson, I give Henry props.
