eldorado2001
Had to (just HAD to) jump on a couple of opportunities that came up recently, resulting in 2 NGD in 1 week. Last time this is gonna happen, for a long time, anyway. Epi Sorrento Reissue model looks to be sold out or nearly so. MF had a super deal so I got one of their last ones in my second color choice, Royal Olive Burst. Would prefer natural but the green isn't too obnoxious. Then SW had to go and offer 36 mos no interest, so I finally have an Elitist Casino. Early impressions are I'm blown away by the build quality of both guitars, fit and finish is excellent on both, the electrics are quality, the Gibson USA pickups on both are very good and generally what I was expecting, soundwise. They're both keepers and we'll all grow old together. My MIC casino is already sold and gone.
fromnabulax
I picked up a natural 62 Sorrento at a great price a couple of months back, and I love it. It is simply a joy to play.

midiman56
I was eyeballing the very same Casino on the Sweetwater Gear Gallery, El. It is beautifully grained and altogether gorgeous ... I'm glad it went to someone in The Forum. Big congrats! Jim

The Casino feels like a Gibson to me, the MIC Casino it replaced did not. The Sorrento feels more like an Epiphone, its fretboard radius seems flatter to me than a Gibson's.
