sterlingds
I hope this hasn't been broached already. I couldn't find anything in the searches I did, but I need some help on identifying a LP. I just bought it (used of course). There is no paperwork available, so I don't have model information. I am told it is a Traditional. Serial: 122740317 It is a gold top with cream p90s, blank truss rod cover, gold speed knobs, green key Gibson tuners. Here's the thing, I can't find anything, I mean anything, showing Gibson ever released a Traditional in gold top OR with p90s. It looks like a Traditional to me, but the truss rod cover doesn't have Traditional on it. There are four gold tops that I can find from 2014; Less Plus (g-force and Les Paul100 on headstock) Collector's Choice (distressed and top hat knobs) The Long Scale (not it) Traditional Pro (this has nickel tuners, zebra Burstbuckers, top hat knobs) Also, it is my understanding that 2014 Gibson started using brown cases with red or pink padding with Gibson USA on them. This one is Black (Gibson USA) with black padding and a black satin cover. I haven't received it yet, so I can't tell you if it has weight relief or not, but the shipping was 25lbs, so I'm leaning toward thinking it's in that 9-10lbs range. Any ideas? I'm very surprised that I cannot find anything on a possible release of this guitar.
Rabs
Hmm, the 2014s came with the 12th fret 120 Anniversary inlay.. Which that doesn't have.. Could be a special run.
Rabs
Here you go.. I think its a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Limited Ed. P90s Goldtop. A lot of people change out the truss rod cover plate for a plain one which isn't much to worry about... They also did a version of the same thing same year with a Bigsby which can be easily removed. http://loviesguitars.com/product/2014-gibson-les-paul-traditional-limited-ed-p90s-goldtop-ohsc/ https://reverb.com/item/5635481-gibson-les-paul-traditional-2014-p90-goldtop-limited-edition

It does look like those would be it. Do you think that's a solid price for it? I actually talked the guy down $300, and got it for $1575.

sterlingds
That's a very nice Lester you got!! I would say you got a decent deal. I'm going to run with it for sure. Now I just have to convince the better half it's a good deal. The other three in the music room make that far more difficult.

01GT eibach
Maybe a 2013 model made in early 2014?
