  1. Many thanks for all your replies, as Bigtim suggests, "something to think about". I am quite surprised by the weight of those newer Classics, considering they are weight-relieved, my old Classic Antique weighs between 7 and 7.5lbs.
  2. I should have mentioned that shortly after buying the Traditional got an R8, so the Trad became redundant. I've had it from new, so I suspect it's not going to grow on me. Beautiful guitar nevertheless.
  3. I have a 2014 Les Paul Traditional that I never use (it's actually like a brand new 10 year old guitar, the only thing I've done to it is remove the pickguard). I've really taken a fancy to buy a new Les Paul Classic because of the sound options, particularly the out-of-phase option. I know some people would think trading the Trad for a classic is a backward step, considering the Trad has a solid body and the 59 tribute humbuckers, so I thought I'd ask the wise people on here, would you do it?
  4. I'm currently working on Romanza, Spanish Romance. Here's a young Lady doing a particularly appealing rendition. Mine doesn't sound anything like this yet but we live in hope🙂
  5. Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife John, I hope you find whatever you need to make you happy.
  6. Impressive rig, enjoy 🙂
  7. The Midnight Special channel on YouTube has some great music videos, a real Gold mine.
  8. So sorry to hear about your loss Phillip but I'm so glad to hear that you've found a way to bring joy back into your life with your new Les Paul. Best wishes for your future and so glad to see you back.
  9. That's correct, the out-of-phase will only work with both pickups engaged and the volumes of both pickups roughly at the same level. The 'out-of-phase' means one of the pickups are out-of-phase with the other. Nothing to worry about, everything is as it should be.
  10. Great, you've been educated, it won't be long before we can get you to spell colour correctly 🙂
  11. It sounds like a knob problem, I'd be inclined to take it back and swap it for another one.
  12. The Alan Parson Project Turn of a Friendly Card Delux box set looks interesting 🙂
  13. At some point Epiphone will become Gibson's biggest competitor.
