Epiphone case for Casino with Bigsby

Hi all

I have just bought a new (Chinese) Casino with a factory-fitted Bigsby tremolo. As it did not come with a hard case, I want to order one. But given that the overall depth at the tailpiece is increased by about 1", does anyone know if it will still fit in the standard Epiphone Dot/Casino/Sheraton case?

Thanks for any help

That one will work fine. I have a Dot and a Sheraton that I put B70s on. All you need to do is point the vibrato arm to the tail pin and it will work fine. I ended up getting a Gator case for my Dot. I had an Epi 335 case on back order for 7-8 months and got tired of waiting. I did do some mods to the case, but it works fine. I will say that my Sherry will not fit in the case because the headstock it bigger than on my Dot.

Here is a pic of my Dot in the Gator case. (It also fits perfectly in my Epi 335 case.)

Yup that's important to do, otherwise you can not only push your vibrato arm down all the time and wonder why your stretched strings are detuned, but also the case lining actually will start to make a rub mark on center area of the arm. The casino case should be fine as long as you religiously point the arm tip down to the tail as he mentioned.

I just got a Swingster and bought the Joe Pass Emperor case and the fit is great. However the Bigsby vibrator arm is different than the ones in the pics that have been posted. It is the long round arm on the Swingster and I will try and see if it can be put in the same position as the flat Bigsby arm. I just checked and the Bigsby arm on the Swingster is to long to swing to the back and stay in the case. But the Joy Pass Emperor case has a rise in the lid and I think it works great. But the decision is up it you. By the way, they shipped the Swingster in the case and it fit is great.
