So I need help with my decision. I understand for 59 custom I’ll be paying about $7000 and that the supreme is about $4000. I understand they have different Alnico pick ups. Not sure I want a guitar that is aged. Even Mr Murphy said it will continue to age fast compared to New guitars. I’m really confused. So can anyone help with my decision

Yeah, buy a new guitar and relic it the old fashioned way, by playing it and bumping into stuff.

    Your Welcome

I like the tone of a good mahogany top. I have two and just sold another one last week.

The Martin 000 15 CS was real nice looking and sounding but like Johnson, I didn't care for the neck.

The other two are Gibson's. One is a '42 LG1 like Tom B and John T have. The other is a newer L00 Genuine Mahogany (actual model name). If you were a righty, I'd loan you one.

What neck was on it? The V necks I do not jive with from M. My HD-28V had one. I like the modern low oval ones.

As we know the Doves are pretty rare fliers living in an altitude of their own  - and as we also know they are mighty fine guitars, , , not least as recorders..

It's good to celebrate the classic 62 once in while. So now now is now, , , and the remarkable difference makes this film special. Check the Quinton & Paul testers doin' their thing.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        And enjoy

Apart from that they don't seem to answer the headline Q - well, , , never mind. . .

Closest I ever got to one was it was locked up in the special glass case at a Guitar Center I was in.

  5. Not really a Rock Doc, but I watched part 1 of a doc called Steve!, about Steve Martin. He does play banjo. Part one goes up to The Jerk. Need to watch the second one. He is a wild and crazy guy. Now he just does everything with Martin Short.

If they did give free samples I would be planted at every See's Candy shop and I would get nothing done. My personal favorites are the dark chocolate molasses chips.... I think I may have muncheed myself into insulin shock a few times with those suckers.

Those are great too, those thin waffer ones.

Thought some might have a little information on the early Montana guitars.

Hard to believe the back and side would be finished different.

Is Hogeye still on here ?  He had some interesting information  back in 2011.

Haven’t seen him post in years.

The 1971 album, E Pluribus Funk.
(Grand Funk Railroad's 5th studio album.)

Round, shiny album cover instead of square.
Looked like a big, irreverent coin, of course.

The title is a jab at the Latin motto of the United States of America, E pluribus unum ("Out of many, one") and translates as "Out of many, Funk".

I wore out that record back in the day.

    🙂

    T. N. U. C. was a funny title. Backwards of course it’s. . .

    All those killer players.

    Earache My Eye

My father disowned me because I wear my sister’s clothes.

He caught me in the bathroom with a pair of pantyhose.

Wynona's Big Brown Beaver - Primus

    Smells like 7 layers

    That beaver eats Taco Bell

I like Primus but now I can only listen to about 3 songs in a row before Les’s bass irritates the living c-rap out of me. I saw them twice. Seas Of Cheese and Pork Soda tours.

Do do do do do do do do

    then the next song

Do do do do do do do do

    and the next as well
