I’m in line to purchase a 1990 J-50. Looks to be in excellent shape. My concern is the back and side
the sides are dark finish And the back is a light finish. Is this normal and are the back and side mahogany?
Thoughts on a price range.
Thanks Poesy
Not sure if that’s how it should be. If it’s the real deal what’s the issue? Do you play the back? I strum the front on my guitars.

Nice inlays and unusual headstock.
You’re on a roll.
Congrats
Gruhn probably gives it no love cause he can’t charge x3 what it’s worth at his store.

I think you may have the wrong forums. This forum is for Gibson Guitars. It has nothing to do with puzzles or posters.
Some of the stuff Gibson does puzzles me, so maybe he’s not so far off.
A forum for jigsaw puzzles? What would they complain about other that what the OP is talking about?

Roger Waters who I can’t stand.
The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking
It is a decent album. It was supposedly the other idea he pitched to the band along with something that became The Wall.

After Smokin’, Pie made a few albums that were just okay. Thunderbox and Eat It were so so. After that the went down hill fast.
Sadly Steve fell asleep smoking a cigarette and died in a house fire.

Steve was a child actor. Not Steve Ford, well maybe he was, but Steve Marriott certainly was.

Did you know it’s Steve Marriott's dog howling on the Floyd song Seamus from the Meddle album?

Thomas Dolby - Aliens Ate My Buick
Saw him on that tour.

Does Slash shower and sleep with that top hat?

Good music never goes out of style, wheather it’s Bach, Mozart, The Beatles, Zappa, or Sinatra. Rick is so smart. I wonder if in any city in the US over the weekend a symphony was performed that Beethoven wrote? Those are a few hundred years old. And Gregorian Chants, forget about it.
-
Do you know anyone in the US who could buy the pickup from SD and mail it to you?
SD won’t ship to the UK. If Slash wanted one over there they would.

Californiaman,
Oh.
2100.
Tell you what. In 2100, when I get home from playing hockey, I'll turn on the radio, and let you know what songs they were playing, and we'll see if you were right.
Talk to you then.

Rick knows, he does have his own sig guitars.

Yeah I see that now.
I meant 2100. Not sure what I was thinking (takes another sip of coffee and looks up at the Arsenal vs. Aston Villa match).
Soccer is hockey, just on grass without ice or skates or sticks or gloves or a puck.

Yeah, you probably couldn't include that on an album these days. Not with a Woke Social Mob ready to jump your a$$ for violating the "Me Too Movement's" sanctity.
Think about the song, "Rolling Stone," where Dr. John sings "We've got a blue-eyed, teenage groupie who will do anything we say."
No, you'll have the Dept. of Justice knocking on your door (Sean Combs) or the Los Angeles PD like they did to Don Henley back in 1980.
How many of the young wokies know what head is?
Yeah, but it was Don’s party at his house. Underage girls doing blow and probably blowing too. Don should have done jail time. You can’t use the excuse oh, I didn’t know. It’s like when a Navy ship or sub runs a ground or into a reef. The CO is responsible no matter who was at the helm. Comes with the title or owning the house.

I saw a Rick Beato video last week that indicated that the following bands will still be played in the year 2021; based on Spotify spins:
Nirvana
Queen
The Police
The Beatles
I wouldn't count Nirvana as a Joke as they seem to have the staying power (at least on Spotify) than other bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd and the Who. And I should add that other '90s bands, Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Alice in Chains, or bands like the Foo Fighters (Dave Growl) do not even come close to what Nirvana was able to do in it's short-lived existence.
Of the Grunge ones AIC is all I can take. Soundgarden - Loud Love by them is the only one I Iisten too. Not sure if that is Grunge as it predates their big albums. Nirvana never struck a chord with me. Foo is just Poo, IMHO. Every thing I hear from them sounds the same, maybe that’s every band tho.
Its now 2024.

There just isn’t music being make like this anymore. Once, and I’ll use the term loosely, singers, started yelling into a mic to a backing track or DJ, music started to really go down hill. Yeah then we had Nirvana to save us, well no they didn’t. I couldn’t stand their music, but how long are you gonna maintain when you’re a dumb junkie?

No, USA edition. I will not pay that kind of money for a guitar that is a replica. It is not going to make me play any better, than I do now.
Maybe, but you will be playing not as well on a 50k guitar.
But your right, my Martin D-41 didn’t make me any better.

I've heard some people refer to Chinese Gibson fakes as "Chibsons". I defiantly am NOT implying that your craftsmanship is "fake", or cheep, (and I bet this creation will give Gibson a run for their money.)
I am just wondering if this creation should be dubbed a, "Dibson"? Or maybe a, "Vibson"?
Fibson?
