  1. I have used the PO for every guitar I have ever shipped and this has been the only time with a problem. Every time it has gotten there on time or the last guitar got there a day early. They say I have to wait 14 business days to do something. Are Saturdays a business day for the PO since they are open?

Be patient, been there a few times and it always ends up where it should.  This Monday is a holiday too.

Yeah. I just want the buyer to get his guitar in the same condition I shipped it in and every day it give the guitar another chance for something to happen to it.

  3. So I sold my D-28 and D-18 after getting my D-41. Shipped the D-18 on 7th of January. Of course I insured it for the full amount and it needs to be signed for. The estimated date of delivery was Monday the 13th. Every day on the USPS site it changed and said it was moving to its destination. The 11th was the last day there was an update. Then Sunday nothing. Okay the PO is closed on Sunday so I understand. Then Monday came and went and then it updated and stated it will be late. I also  understand that too, plus rain and tornado warnings were issued in the South over the weekend. Now nothing. The last update is form the 11th, and it says it is moving through system. So I called today and the friendly Postal Clerk answered the phone told me we have the same information you that you have that is up on the PO's tracking site, no more no less. I asked is it in a PO waiting to be loaded on a truck, or is it on a truck? Got the same answer. The buyer is being patient and understands I have no control once I hand it over to the PO. They said I have to wait 14 day from the ship date to start an investigation to see if its lost or still on its way. So much for tracking. I am not asking the PO to give me pin point accuracy where it is on I-10 headed to Arizona, but come on.

I don't blame any store for doing this, particularly if the store is large enough that they can't keep an eye on everyone every minute. A teenager with a flatpick and delusions of grandeur can trash the top of a guitar in less than a minute.

That is why I consider everything used from CG no matter what the tag says, unless I see it come out of the shipping box.

The GC i sometimes go to hasnt locked up the acoustics, honestly i've never seen anyone under 30 in the acoustic section, teenagers are always trying to shred on the electrics hehe

ps. and also i did encounter some J45 standards with super old strings, i didnt ask but i did wonder why they didnt change them,,now i know

Cuts into there profits and someone around 20 years old has to do some work instead of looking at cat videos on their cell phone.

    thanks sgt!

though i'm yet suspicious about it.
what made me think about identifying it as a faded is because the finish is not glossy as the studios i'm used to. it's slightly opaque.
also thanks FemmeParallell, the mystery continues, cause i read that the studio has glossy finish... and also fireburst  finish has also the black, i think more as a cherry sunburst.

    also the model number LPSFHSCH1
    Les Paul Studio F(faded?) H(heritage?) S(
    sunburst?) C(chrome?) H(hardware?)

Yeah it might be a faded. The pic is small on my laptop and it is not easy to see if it glossy or not. I guess if it is a faded and you don't want one then don't waster your time. I had one of that all hog ones that looked like a tur-d.

That is good News! I want more Specs on the Texan.. Also, what Electronics? I'm very interested in this Guitar.

I like my cheapie Inspired by Texan but it isn't in the same league as my 1975 Martin D-35, my '90's Martin 12 String or my 2001 Gibson Bozeman Masterbilt Solid Top J-160E...

I'm sure truer word were never spoken.

  8. The GC I go to in N. Myrtle  it seems locks up all the stuff 1500 and higher. A Martin 000-15 you can touch but a Gibby  J-15 you have to get the 22 year old with the keys of power to allow a 53 year old that could buy any guitar in the acoustic room, and allow me special permission to touch said worthy axes.  But yes I get it, but are 16 year old interested in the one and only D-28  or J-45 there, and I'm sure unless spending daddy $ certainly can't afford it.

    Well...

The Gibson  AFD  is a real Les Paul model.

It is based on a Les Paul copy built by Kris Derrig.

    So:

The Gibson AFD Les Paul is a real replica,

of a non Gibson-built Les Paul copy,

    of a real Les Paul.

My head is now spinning. I want a Use Your Illusion LP, so I can play it outside a church in the cold November Rain. Of course I wont plug it into an amp, and my shirt will be totally unbuttoned.

Never could resist throwing a spanner in the works (um... wrench in the works!). default_eusa_whistle.gif

I know what a spanner is. You English have cool words for stuff like lorry and lift. We just call it a truck and an elevator.
