  1. It's been a good tournament so far. Purdue and Conn are a good match, should be a close game tomorrow.
  2. "Will the circle be unbroken"- Johnny Cash
  3. Back in the early 90's my sound was a Dean Markley 50 watt combo amp with an Ibanez digital delay pedal and a Cry Baby wah. Since then I've added a Danoelectro Tuna Melt Tremolo, which the later added twin reverb made unnecessary. Then on a whim I bought a Vox Stomp Lab which basically covers any effects I can think of, it's incredibly versatile and once I figured it out pretty easy to use. None the less I purchased a Solid Gold FX 76 pedal to experiment with octave up fuzz tones, Pete Thorn made it sound so cool in a you tube review. I was disappointed that it didn't track well, entire notes would not sound out. I was able to achieve this effect through the Stomp Lab anyway (which does track well no matter how fast I play) so traded the Solid Gold in for a Catalinbread Blood Donor pedal just to have a stand alone overdrive pedal. Now when I see an interesting pedal on YouTube or something I'll see if I can edit my Stomp Lab by layering the effects to get the end result. So yeah, most of my sounds can be achieved with just the Vox or the original Ibanez delay with the Blood Donor pedal for drive.
  4. Wow! It got all Lord of the the Flies in here over the weekend. Circled the wagons and gave him some what for it appears. 😂 Dude seemed to be hell bent on agitating, that's for sure.
  5. The heavy hitters ^ The on occasion players ^ The oddballs ^
  6. I'm betting it will sell for a fair amount less than any R series or Murphy Lab BS.
  7. Yeah, a Duo-Sonic is my only point of reference and it felt too small in my hands. Thought maybe the ES-140 would feel more full size being a hollow body.
  8. A friend who works with estate sales said she saw an old Gibson guitar at an estate she is currently working with. I looked into it and it's a '56 ES-140T, which is basically a smaller ES-175 with a 22 3/4 scale length. I'm just curious if anyone here has played one or maybe owned one in the past. Is it diminutive? Ukelele like? Ric 325 type small? I'm considering going to the estate sale this weekend but I imagine it would be pretty expensive if they had it appraised, but it piqued my interest so thought I'd see if anyone had experience with this model. Thanks.
  9. Kinda lost interest once the Lions gave up a 17 point lead in the NFC championship game, thought for sure it would be their first appearance in the Superbowl. Hard to pull for the 49ers as they eliminated my team, but tired of the media darling Chiefs and the additional attention due to Swift dating Kelce. I'll have to give the nod to the young QB Purdy. When asked yesterday if he would feel bad about breaking Taylor Swift's heart if he and the 49ers defeat the Chiefs he simply replied; "No."
  10. "The Moons Lament"- Cindy D'lequez Sage
  11. My LP custom has the split diamond inlay on the headstock but is definitely not a custom shop guitar. I suspect online sellers are possibly listing guitars like this as custom shop because it is indeed a custom vs a standard to possibly lure in unsuspecting buyers. The uniformed will be disappointed when they realize they just bought an off the shelf custom vs an actual custom shop guitar. I would think that a custom shop guitar would be with or without the split diamond inlay as it's the finish, color or specs that make it a true custom shop product.
  12. "Sun is gonna shine"- Steve Martin & Edie Brickell
  13. I kinda get the impression that most of the people that buy those do it online and then complain about the finish or setup. Or it's a slightly used one and they immediately come here and post the serial number and ask for info on it, and if it's legit. Because God forbid they go to an actual store and try several and buy the one that they bonded with the most.
