  1. So did I ^ hope the rest of the record keeps level
  2. Congrats - very hot guitars. Are you sure the nut width is narrower ? 🧐
  3. I of course respect the content of you post, but somehow Yorke + R-head clash too hard towards the wall, , , or floor in a thread about Rolling Stones. .
  4. Agree - it's a pretty kool tune and it has spirit. (my keyboard-player says it features auto-tune too 🤓). Never mind - a fine single to start out with. I got my first in 65 = Time is on My Side. Roll on there
  5. Well, great. Which strings did you choose ?
  6. Just give it a little time to open up - I'm sure this 50 is headed for some serious jams. .
  7. Funny enough it doesn't seem to have cream bindings - but those dot fret markers could very well be in mint condition. I can't believe this guitar will be hard to break in, , , actually it'll be a piece of cake. .
  8. It's backstage before a gig at the Wolf Trap (wherever that may be). Taylor's spokesperson adds it's not weird for an artist to wear a b-robe in such situation. The sweet slope was delivered by Delicate Delicious Custom Cakes. If curious about whether the pins are candy, bone, tusq or plastic, we'll have to ask them.
  9. And the player likes it. . . . He claims even the sheet music is edible.
  10. In all seriousness - was this the slow-mo work of your thumb or the result of some well-measured surgical sanding ? My guess falls on the latter.
  11. How nice and soulful ^ , , , was it before Highway 61 and Jumping Jack Flash were released. .
  12. Sounds like an Epiphone. They effortless reach far into that territory. .
  13. If you search for early 70s Hummingbirds on the Tube you'll find a bunch that sound too stiff. Why ? , , , because the ARE stiff. . This one however, which was posted before, may be the best sounding double-X I've heard. And the reason probably is that the good fellow has the touch, , , PLUS the fact that he plays it gently. The logic here of course is that when activating it with a milder feel, he won't reveal the guitar's lack of ability to seriously respond to bigger force. In other words there is a decisive relation between pumping heavy vibes into the creature and its conditions for answering. Pretty obvious when thinking about it. A splendid 1974 ~ Then again - some people like the tight focused and percussive directness of a hard strummed double-X. And that's exactly how it should be.
  14. What a great post - and perspective for the years to come. The trick is to patiently facilitate the rendezvous between your hearing and the warmer'n'warmer guitar.
  15. Actually just looked up the calendar to check my vintage but precious memory. And bingo - it happened August 12 1991.
  16. Are we so lucky that you will show pictures. Might be a very fine sounding square - and yes, it has the double X bracing. But they too break in and can reach something unique.
  17. 🍸 Hahe, , , bet yoo did. A distant echo tells me you wrote"an otherly orgy of organic organ-like overtones". My fantasy may run astray there. Remember seeing Raitt just around the corner from here in that period. It was a Monday, , , but she soon turned into something 8th. . And that is a fact !
  18. You're right - it probably was an orgy*. *first time this word is used on the Board
  19. O great - though I mostly remember this one - where the guy plays the Bird, , , which also happens in the hotel room home-video which was one here too. I don't find it likely that she's still around. Platoons of men must have eaten her up long time ago. .
  20. And here the whole bouquet - with the former crypto comedians in full bloom
  21. Yes she is - and a clever woman too. I noticed she kind of under-played the Hummingbird, , , perhaps too thin for her. This 200 sounds stellar -
  22. Eeehh, , , for saying so to Duluth,
  23. Fine and intriguing story ^ Something tells me this G. Potter was seen and shown here playing a Hummingbird and a pair of faded jeans some 10 years ago. I may be wrong. But how grand of you to send off your guitars. Hope some film shows up on the Tube in the days to come. If yes, please post it here.
