Well now, how about supplying the extra's "package" with a cable that isn't "junk" ? Is that really too much to ask/expect ? Really ?

Great looking studio. I lived in the park for a few weeks, 44 years ago, lol. Was a nice vacation, up in the hills there. What a beautiful area that is. I remember the huge evergreen trees and the huge pine cones. Yosemite valley and the river. Also Big Sur coastline. Some day I'll return... Also, how do you like the Explorer ? -

so many damaged guitars, such a shame...I might think by now that all guitar manufactures like Gibson/Epiphone/ Ibanez... would have by now, made better packaging besides glued, stapled, taped and printed on flimsy corrugated cardboard boxes for their fine instruments, or ship them in a hard case. Small price to pay for a bit of added protection that may eliminate such occurrences ...too bad, so many inappropriately damaged guitars from completely inadequate packaging. -
Gibson, could you please comment about this Les Paul ? thanks

thank you -
won't be long until you have 3 more, if you get the "complete package"...Tell the store manager that "fact"...and if you don't get "it", tell them you'll take your business elsewhere...that will get their attention, I'm sure...Money talks, b.s. walks...
-
Go straight to the store manager and give him a piece of your mind...and get what you paid for...the "goodie bag" is part of the "complete package"...Don't let them get away with that b.s....really.

best guitars ever....
-
well, they are "cheap knockoffs" I prefer to refer to them as "value added"...I can't get enough of them obviously....I would have given the employee a lecture, and complained to the store manager (I'm a prick like that...no one "disses" my Epiphones.) Ya, a long lecture... I'm sure the "commission" that employee gets selling a Gibson is a bit more than when he sells an Epiphone...More to it than being a "cheap knockoff" ...
-
again, it sure is a beauty
-
that, to me, is a stunningly beautiful instrument...lucky you
-
I had an "Hondo II" Stratocaster with "Photoflame", was OK, sold it...It wasn't an Epiphone...lol
-
saw dust and Elmers glue, mixed into a "pastey mixture" and then "set" into a guitar shaped "mould"...Ya, that's how Epiphone guitar "solid" bodies are made....lol
-
you got that right
-
old guitar and amp look like they would be fun to play. What was said, not a collectors item, well maybe not, but the whole package looks OK. I dig the Epiphone gig bag and strap

Differance between Les Paul tribute vs tribute plus?
crust replied to MotorPro's topic in Epiphone Electrics
When did you get the "first run plain top" ? How long ago ? If that was the only run of "plain top" Tributes, your guitar may be a guitar that not a lot of were made, maybe. Got a pic, of both ? -
Differance between Les Paul tribute vs tribute plus?
crust replied to MotorPro's topic in Epiphone Electrics
A quick Google search shows the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute is sold as a Plus Top style guitar only. As far as I can discover in my short search, Epiphone never made a "plain top" Epiphone Les Paul Tribute electric guitar. Although they are called "Les Paul Tribute" guitars, as far a my searches have shown, all Epiphone "Les Paul Tribute" electric guitars are made with a "plus top" (AAA grade Maple). Or something like that...lol PRODUCT FEATURES Vintage deep-set glued in neck Carved hard maple top Gibson USA '57 Classic™ humbuckers Push/pull series parallel switching Resonant mahogany body with Classic Les paul design Upgraded hard maple cap and AAA flame maple veneer Gibson USA '57 Classic humbuckings with series/parallel switching Grover locking tuning machines Hardshell case included SPECIFICATIONS Body Material mahogany Top Material Carved Hard maple Neck mahogany Neck Options 1960s SlimTaper™Neck Join tVintage "Deep Set" glued-in Dimension s24.75" scale Nut width1.68" Fingerboard rosewood with pearloid trapezoid inlays with 22 medium jumbo frets Fingerboard radius12" Pickups Gibson USA '57 Classic Humbucker 4-wire (neck) and Gibson USA '57 Classic Plus Humbucker, 4-wire (bridge)Controls Switchcraft 3-way pickup selector, Neck Pickup Volume, Bridge Pickup Volume, Neck Pickup Tone (push/pull/series parallel), Bridge Pickup Tone (push/pull/series parallel) Binding Fingerboard 1 ply, cream Bridge Locktone Tune-o-matic™/Stopbar Hardware Nickel Machine Heads Grover® Locking Rotomatic 106 Series 18:1 Tuners More comments ? -
The bridge Allen screw adjustment wrench, seems to be first mention of here. Again, no 10 foot economy cord. Were the Allen wrenches in a separate, small clear plastic "utility pouch", with a strap to keep the flap closed ? I got one of those, with the truss rod wrench, but no small Allen wrench, to adjust the Allen screws on the bridge (height and intonation wrench). I use the ones I got with my Fenders
-
I got 2 truss rod adjustment wrenches (the exact same size, also supplied with 2 little clear plastic pouchs to hold the thing in) in the box that my most recent Epiphone guitar (an EL-00) was shipped in, from Zzounds...lol Along with everything else, except the 10 foot cord, which, being an acoustic guitar, is not necessary

nice, give it a bit of a polish/cleaning. Blues machine. Don't be a stranger, let us know about the upgrades and your before and after impressions -
No 10 foot economy cord

I got a poster, truss rod wrench, warranty/instruction manual, sticker, inspection card and the 10 foot economy cord with the Gold Riviera P93 I recently acquired. No cord with the alpine white LP Jr. or blue SG. hmm...gonna let it slide this time. I did get an advertisement "leaflet" for Rocksmith 2014 with the LP. Epiphone is the games official guitar. Now I'm wanting all the Rocksmith (for PC) stuff. which has been ordered 12/04/2013 dig it
