No, I am not talking about the length of the horns. I am talking about the "pointiness" of the top horn on the 61RI. The 61 RI has a more tapered and pointier top horn than the modern SG standards do, when viewed from this angle (my 61 RI in this pic). The SG Standard top horn is much wider and squared off when you see them from this angle, or from above when holding it in playing position.

Looks just like a '61 reissue to me. Has all the features: Deeper horn bevels, wider headstock, shelving at the neck/body attachment, pickguard shape and black plate at bottom of neck, as well as the pick up rings. Couldn't see it but I wish they had a better pic of the inside of the upper horn as it should be tapered and more pointed than standards are. Couldnt say if it was a fake or not. Looks just like my '61 reissue except mine has a maestro on it, which wasn't always available at certain times of production.

Call Gibson customer svc with sn in hand and maybe they can verify. Post pics and I'll tell you if it looks like one to me.
