Nice. I love a broken guitar. Especially one priced at 50k. I wish Gibson would have hired me to snap them, hell I’d do it for free just for the sheer satisfaction of doing it.

That would be fun, but not sure it’d get the “Tom Murphy” prices they are commanding for his name..

  2. Sucks that Gibson made getting a Greeny/Moore/Hammett near impossible even if you have the money. The 50 people who will receive this definitely has connections, or at least 40 of them do, while 10 was reserved for privileged customers.  Was told it was gone as it was announced.

I said that in one of the other posts about this guitar. Are they/did they break the headstock off and glue it back on like the real one? Didn’t it fall out of the back of Gary’s car when he owned it?

Yes you are correct. These 50 repros will have that “Authentic” neck break. LMFAO.

I guess you never saw the hair club for men commercials. The owner was not just the owner, but a client too. I guess the joke went over your head.

The 80’s commercials with Cy Sperling or whatever? Yeah I got it, but I meant why would Cesar not cover the top of his bald head?

Did he get that fake hair from the club for men too?

Yes I know who you were talking about.

Cesar has fake hair? Why would he put hair on the back and sides, but none on top?
Anyways, if I were to guess who maybe getting one of those Greeny/Moore/Hammit LP’s I bet Cesar called up Jason Momoa to see if he wanted one….Wouldn’t be surprised if the dude has one waiting for him.

Standard white, not the little lunchbox handled ones. totally on the same page- swapped out the tube for something with headroom and basically don't think about it, it just does the job tirelessly. and yes, it does get absolutely loud enough for any little stage ill be doing.

What level you set it at in the house? I don’t normally go past 3 or 4 on the volume..

Wish I was a rich family member/crony/lawyer/doctor/sports team owner/actor/YT Influencer, so I could be a somebody too , and own 3k guitar that Gibson charges is 50k after a guy puts dings in with an ice pick, and eat dinner with the guitarist from ‘Tallica that has a man perm.

You really should talk to Cesar, maybe he can help you out. Doubt there’d be any scalpers for this one..

Now that Gibson is doing a 50k Greeny LP, the Noel now seems like pocket change.

Yup. And buyers have to buy and pickup at the Gibson Garage. They took out the middle man completely. All 50 have been spoken for already. Most likely friends/family/celebs first. Also, there is a whole “Gibson Experience” that accompanies buying the Greeny/Moore/Hammit LP (eg dinner, meet Tom Murphy, autograph session, etc)…

It’s not Verb, it’s the seller and called Capitalism and greed. Reverb sets no sale price, the seller does, Verb only sets their fees, which blow.

Flea Bay is the same. I have one of the few made, and you want it, so I can name my price, or you can’t have it. Gibson also knows exactly what they are doing with limited runs and fueling the fire. I swear if Gibson could find a legal way to somehow get a cut of your used guitar sale, they would.

I’m not blaming Reverb by any means. It’s the scalpers for sure. But I understand the supply and demand aspect. I mean it depends on which side of the fence you are on. When you are a buyer it sucks, when you are a seller and can get the price you ask for, it’s amazing..

held backwards with the pointy end away from the strings, one of the top corners is used on the strings.

    Works for me.

Good choice. Think Bonamassa used these after watching Eric Johnson using them in an instructional video. Then of course Bonamassa got his own signature pick copying these.

Jazz III Nylons without the name. But the Jazz III Torex are way different and sound just as good..

Either my V-pick Large ULP. They are made of Acrylic and are triangle shaped. Or my Blue Chip TP35-1R. The V-pick is a .8mm and the BC is .9mm. The thing I love about the V-picks is you basically get 3 picks due to it being a triangle. I know the BC I posted is a 40 mine is a 35. The numbers stand for how may 1000's it is.

Interesting choices and I have seen both before, but just never got them…I’m going to give these a try..

I also have an inscribed pure silver pick that I was given as a 40th birthday gift from my sisters..  And while it is a cool thing to have I really cant stand using it.. Too hard for me and I dont like the metal on metal feel or sound..  Same with some stone pick I have.. Its cool but just too hard for me..  I like a small amount of flex for rhythm playing.

Metal picks suck. I bought a silver one and a copper one. They are hard to play and the tone is atrocious. But it’s a nice gesture you got a silver pick. Keep it stored away as a memento…

Not particularly picky..  Just like medium gauge but dont really care what make it is...  I got some cool Hendrix ones from Dunlop that come in a little tin.  But I do quite like the ones that have some texture on the side you grip..

     Nice tin…

    My fave

Tortex, thick as a plank. I switch off between the sharp point and one of the rounded edges, depending on how vigorous I feel at the moment.

    Nice choice and fairly priced….

I use 3 types of picks at the moment:

    For General Use:
    - D’addario Keith Urban Picks (amazing you get 3 different tones depending on which side of the pick you use. Warm, Bright and Scratchy)

    - Herco Flex 75

    For Fast Leads

    - Jazz III’s Nylon or Torex
