I've gotten vaccine and booster. I've either avoided catching it so far, or have just been asymptomatic. I've used the home test twice and negative both times.
I've seen so many of these conspiracy theorist anti vaxers end up dying from it. Like that Washington State Trooper who famously quit and told the governor to kiss his a @@.

Man. I can only reiterate what everyone else has already said. Hope you hear from them soon.

It's funny how you sometimes get more done with less people.

I went back through the pages to see if I ever responded to this back when it was fresh. I did. And my answer today would be the same as in 2019.

My neighbor recently cleaned up his basement and set up his old turn table. It seems every time I'm down there now he's listening to an old beat up Mad Dogs and Englishmen record.
I'll have to show him this list.

Rather than start a new thread, figured I'd add this here even if it's not exactly on topic.
Coming up this weekend, it will be two years ago that we played a last gig before the big lockdown in the US. It was the Saturday before St Paddy's Day and we were the last act of several playing a pre St Paddy's party at a Ram's Head. We were booked to play same place on actual St Paddy's Day which I believe was a Tuesday, but it never happened.
So this Saturday we are booked to play another Ram's Head location for a similar deal as two years ago. We are one of about 5 bands playing throughout the day. Just feels a little ironic.
Then we will pack the band up and just Steve and I are going to bolt over to another local bar to do an acoustic gig that night. If WWIII doesn't happen, maybe we can look forward to a full year of gigs for the first time in two years.
Looks like Delfest is actually going to happen this year too after 2 years off. The lineup isn't as good as past but who cares. 4 days of camping and partying and listening to some great live music.

Ah. Thanks. More than 10 years coming to these Forums and I'm still learning stuff. 🙂

Am I the only one confused by "reverb unit"? Looks like an amp to me.
Anyway, must be pretty tough if that's all the damage it took from the fall.

Very nice Duane. And you save more than I'll probably ever spend on a guitar.

So Sir Paul is playing 14 dates in the US. I notice he's taking plenty of time between shows except May 2 and 3. Baltimore is second to last stop at Camden Yards. I doubt I'll go. I have some friends that say they are getting tickets. They go on sale Friday. Who knows? Maybe I'll try to get a pair for wife and I. I wouldn't mind just being able to say "I saw Paul McCartney". Plus it's only the second concert ever at Camden Yards after Billy Joel played a few years ago.TOUR DATES:
Thursday 28 April - Spokane,WA - Spokane Arena
Monday 2 May - Seattle,WA - Climate Pledge Arena
Tuesday 3 May - Seattle,WA - Climate Pledge Arena

thanks for the update. Maybe you'll inspire me or someone else here to try the same 🙂

What bothers me is when certain groups immigrate here from their theocratic homeland and use our legal system and freedoms to their advantage when it suits them. But they end up creating insular communities where they eventually own entire neighborhoods and make little attempt to assimilate. Some believe they can implement their own legal system in those places and disregard the State or Federal laws. I don't understand why you want to move here only to attempt to recreate the system you left. But maybe I do understand it.

I believe Randy Roads used some Cuban classical guitarist piece for Diary Of A Madman.

Looks like it would fill the bill.
Jangley-schmangley, it's blue with sparkles.
What else could a girl ask for?
If you happen to see our Grand-daughter, I'd appreciate if you didn't mention this Taylor to her. The Lovely Missus RBSinTo would kill me if I bought our Grandchild another guitar.

I know this is off topic, and I don't want to derail this thread. Hopefully this is only a brief diversion before returning to the case at hand. See what I did there? 🙂
But reading your post here and seeing you talk about your Granddaughter made me think. Not that it should matter at all, but for some reason I had it in my head that you were like a millennial or something. Again it doesn't matter either way if you're 20 or 60. I came at you like a d!ck in that other thread which is no longer around. I want to apologize in front of everyone for the way I reacted. I'm usually not that aggressive. Something got under my skin that day, but you didn't deserve that. Sorry again.
Hopefully this is the end of that.

Overall an average game IMO. I had no real favorite but it was nice to see Stafford get a ring after all these years,
My neighbor and I went back and forth between our houses also had some beer, bourbon (Basil Hayden's) and snacks. He won a few hundred on a pool. I was in a group text with another bunch of buddies and some of them thought the HT show was incredible. I replied that it was some of the best talking I've ever seen.

Right now I don't understand why when a team scores their first touchdown you don't just go in there and kill the kicker. Break his leg or his ankle. You're still going to get the ball on the 25 yard line after the touchback, but the kicker won't be available to beat you at the end of the game with a 50 yard field goal.
Wow. Interesting way to look at it. 🙂

If you recall, I mentioned that up there a while ago. But I suppose it might not really matter.

Yeah I did read that on the first visit to this Topic. I never knew that about Glen Campbel. Interesting. But then I made my own Comment the next day without re-reading stuff from earlier. Sorry I forgot you already addressed it.

I'm not weighing in on anything one way or the other here. I just think this is funny for funny sake, related to what the video you posted talks about.

I have picked up a left-handed guitar a number of times over the years.
It's a challenge, this much is true.
I fancy the notion of finding an inexpensive lefty guitar (or bass) and making it my mission to spend an hour a week learning to play some basic, simple songs.
Seems like it would HAVE to help in the brains' overall musical adaptiveness.
Or so I like to think.
🙂I agree.
My friend growing up was lefty but just learned to play on standard guitar rather than get a LH or re-string a RH guitar. He did fine. It seems to me, it's awkward any way when you first start out. So maybe it makes little difference that way?
But I am definitely right hand dominant in almost everything. Even when using my fingers to drum on the table or something like that. Even though I use my left hand for making chords and playing scales, by right ringers are still more dexterous. I wonder if I got over the initial awkwardness of playing lefty style, I might actually do better?
Duane, keep us posted on your progress if you go through with this.

Nothing to do with the gig, but if anyone into trains.
The dome collapsed several years ago during a snow storm. This is new dome. I was zoomed out as far as possible and still couldn't get it all in the frame.

That was dark. But very creative.

Life is not looking good for Tube Amps
in The Gibson Lounge

I have a stash of 12AX7s so should be good for awhile. But my PRS amp recently crapped out on me at a gig. I don't think it's anything to do with the EL34s but I don't know sh!t.
The guy who played bass with us used to repair amps and he has taken it but still hasn't figured it out. Luckily I have my BOSS Katana as a back-up. Maybe I should just give up on tube amps anyway since every one I've ever owned has had issues at one time or another.
