I thought about posting a smart come back, lime,
I was just jazzin' anyhow. She's an incredible musician. We all know that.
Mason is a gifted singer and has a bright future as well. Perhaps the future won't all be ALL techno garbage and filth.

Yes.
That's a Leo Quan Badass bridge on my '61 Melody Maker.
-
My first Gibson was a 1961 (red) double cut / twin pickup Melody Maker I got in 1969 at the age of 11. I played the Surfside Bar in Clearwater Beach with it at age 12. At age 16, I was gigging it all over Phoenix / Mesa / Apache Jct. Arizona making 25 dollars a night, 3 nights a week. Drinking beer and smoking cigarettes and stuff. Those were different times and there seemed to be no rules.
I still have it, although it was painted (clear) in the late 70's.
My next gigger was a 1972 Les Paul Recording that I literally wore the frets off of. I've owned and gigged a few Fenders, I still own a '91 Telecaster and a Fender resonator, but I've never owned a Martin, or a Taylor and don't care anything about them. I'd buy one if I wanted to, but never felt the need.

Yea, but she ain't no Mason Ramsey....

For the umpteenth time, don’t worry about your singing. Do you think Townes Van Zandt considered himself a “shaky” singer? No. He just sang the song. That’s what you need to do. If we wanted Placido Domingo, we’d be on a different discussion forum.
Bingo. I rarely agree with Hanners, (😉) but HE'S RIGHT !
Neal Young, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Garcia, many, many singer/songwriters can't sing like Tom Jones or Roy Orbison.
Stop apologizing for your vocals !
STOP IT !!!!!!
I liked the song and the performance just fine.
You simply can't please everybody so quit trying. I had some Grateful Dead and David Bromberg on during a project at work and younger people were moaning and they later put on Beastie Boys and other crap like THEY were the musical genius.
Thanks...

...nobody buys CDs anymore and there is very little revenue in streaming/downloads,
This is so true, Jinder.
When Double Aught did our first project in 1998, it was the beginning of the end. We signed up with the Internet Underground Music Association (IUMA) and our project went digital in 1998/99. IUMA was eventually acquired by cdbaby. We were crushed to see our tens of thousands of streams being played for (basically) free. There was no point in buying anything. Everything was free.
Gillian Welch actually wrote a song about it. "Everything is free".
When Owen and I did the Dummitt / Malone project last year, the minute it was done cdbaby put the whole thing on youTube. I mean, we signed off on it because that's the way things work, but why would anybody buy a cd they can simply play for free.
My next idea goes against the grain.

It's always fascinated me how much we grow to love our dogs.
Man, you have a lot of work ahead.
God Bless.

We have no doubt about that....

Guys, is it Rosewood that makes it so responsive to pick changes, or the J45 design?
I prefer 80/20's on my Rosewood J-45 AND my walnut J-15.
I used Elixirs back when I used a thinner pick, but hate the muffled sound of them now that I'm using Bluechip and Wegens.
You may have a point.
-
I have a 2003 J-45 Rosewood body/ebony bridge and fretboard.
Bac k when I got it I was simply using the same .60 Tortex picks that I used playing electrics in working/gigging bands for decades. I used Elixir 80/20's on it.
As I morphed into an ALL ACOUSTIC player and also picked up mandolin my pick choice began to get thicker and more dense. This caused the tone to get darker and as an intricate lead player I felt I was losing some definition and tried the Gibson Masterbuilt 80/20's and just loved them.
Gibson recently changed their signature strings to be a COATED string which I now don't like. So I found out who made the Masterbuilts for them.
I now use GHS 80/20's and just love the sound. PB doesn't work for me. I also own a J-15 (walnut back/sides) and they work the same way giving a tad better definition to the solo lead work.
Here's wishing you the best.

I saw him live a few years ago and he never touched a guitar.
Or spoke.
Still worth every penny.

I don't think anybody would mind if you posted here even if you didn't own a Gibson at the time.
With all of the "wannabe's" we would be just fine with a "has been"...….

Style and Class that is so missing today.
And so it goes.

I used to spend a lot of time in New Orleans when I lived in lake Charles. If it wasn't so hot all the time, I'd consider retiring there. I just hate the heat and humidity now.

Love this Band.
Love New Orleans.

Been a fan since day one.
Acoustic music is about the only music that I'm into anymore. I mostly hang around Americana/Folk/Bluegrass/Roots/Blues stuff but Candice is great too...
