As of today, every piece of US Paper currency and coinage is "Legal Tender", and must be accepted by any US business engaging in financial transactions with the public.

    Bravo!

I've been arguing this for years.

    "All debts public and private"

My Dad "forced" a UPS driver to go to the post office and get a money order because he told him he wouldn't accept cash. He would order stuff c.o.d. just to pi$$ that guy off.

Yes, every single time any individual reports a possible counterfeit piece of US currency, regardless of which law enforcement agency they report it to, a Secret Service Special Agent is sent to determine the veracity of the report, collect any currency determined to be counterfeit, and to initiate an investigation regarding said counterfeit currency.

Is this the same Secret Service who couldn't figure out who brought the coke in the White House?

And then closed the investigation in a matter of days.

    Without an answer....

  3. Finally got to spend a little time with the Swamp Dog. Yea, it's no Gibson, but a fun little rig with a million uses for the future. This tune was co-written with a great guy, guitarist from the past who is no longer with us. His (Double Aught) cap is sitting on the little Fender Champ to the right. Also with our drummer at the time. One of my very few co-writes. SM57 / SM58 through a Bose S1-Pro lined out into a Bose L1-Compact.

And, I had about 100 Eisenhower dollar coins.

My Dad had over 5000 of those at one time. He just went on a tangent buying them, even though they had no silver.

He eventually took a bunch on a vacation and spent them, then spent the rest over the years. They had no real collectable value and took up a lot of space. He was a fun guy and I miss him.

I'm also hanging onto this old Corning Ware

My wife has been buying/hoarding old U.S.A. made Corning Ware from yard sales, junk stores, ect., for many years. Gives items for gifts and such,

She's researched it and swears it's some of the best cookware ever made.

  6. Reminds me of those little Peavey "Decade" practice amps. I bought a used one for my daughter for $30.00.

Later on I hear they're selling for many hundreds of dollars because some guy used one.

There's a sucker born every minute.

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro Laptop that I use with Pro Tools & it is bulletproof.. I bought a new 2T high powered IMac a couple years ago I use with Logic Pro X & it is bulletproof as well.

I have an old mini IPad which still works great but is too small.. I recently got a new one that I think is a 12” screen.. I use it all the time for surfing, email, shopping, forums, etc.. It’s great..

They say the new MacBooks will support GarageBand & maybe LogicPro X.. Not sure about Pro Tools.. The MacBooks are a very handy & capable machines….

Wow, 11 years plus on the Pro. This "old" Dell desktop is only 6.

Yea, my iPad mini has been great, I have no idea how old it is. I bought the mini on purpose because it was for lyrics, Garageband, Youtube videos, all music stuff. Apple stuff seems to run forever, if I don't get a new, larger iPad, it'll be a Mac probably.

Interesting - 58% of us use  non-extended play strings and 60% keep  strings on for longer than 6 months - with half of those over a year.    So, it would seem a lot of us use regular strings and like the way they sound for quite a while.

We either get used to the gradual change in tone, or we like the flatter/mellower tone.

    Or we're just getting lazy...

the whole listening situation with EVERYTHING is creepy.

have a discussion about snow tires in july, and your facebook feed will start to show all the places where you can get snow tires in your area.

I've never had Facebook, but I used to "mess" with a co-worker by "setting her up" for weird ad feeds by saying "Tiffany" and "diamond rings" and "Jewlery." and stuff to her phone all the time.

Then the next day I would say "ATV's", "Honda Generator" , "Echo Chainsaw" "Toro Lawnmowers".

    Drove her crazy....
