  1. LG 2 Americana - have herd good things. Welcome to the Gibson forum.
  2. If that original saddle is tusk, you'll get a wee more raw edge out of bone. My 2 cents. Easy relatively cheap swap.
  3. Dman, that was good, nice song, nice production, thanks for putting this out there. [thumbup]
  4. SJ200 Fan - that sure is a nice guitar - strummer extraordinaire.
  5. Welcome to the Gibson Forum's Dave, lot of admiration here for a good ol' J-45.
  6. That was the most luscious sounding guitar! Wow, I never would've looked twice at a 12 fret 200 before hearing this. Very nice.
  7. Hey Dennis, if you've been around for 3 years and this your first post, you must be a shy guy. Welcome aboard, got any pics of that 45? You know by now we love seeing the darn things.
  8. No, yhe OP was from Gibsonnewby. Same guitar, but without issue, sounds like.
  9. Nice Jerry - love that 165, you play it well, sounds great.
  10. Howdy back at ya ! Most bestest Gibson in the line up, me thinks, is that J45.
  11. Many of us are right there with you Dave, and its a blast! Welcome to the Gibson forums.!
  12. J: That is a great sounding guitar, nice playing.
  13. Nice tune, nice sound, enjoyed that, thanks fretplay !
  14. Hey Joe, nice stable picture, love it. Yearning after an AJ here, good to hear you are still pleased with yours.
  15. Outstanding. Nice AJ, nice nice song. Thanks for sharing this.
  16. Saddles are routinely changed on guitars as needed. No worries there.
  17. That was terrific ! I wouldn't change a thing - 'cept maybe give a nice little strum at the end to give a resolve, other than that - nice sound. 2 years ? Nice.
  18. Nice to see you on this forum, and might I thank you for your research and assistance on J Thomas' Kalamazoo Gals. Destined to become a classic.
  19. Jerry - I agree - that 185 sounds great! Simple setup? What camera/mic combination did you use? I have a Zoom HQ thing that I cannot (or don't exercise the patience to) get the sound right. I mostly just record to share with my mother across the miles, and to check delivery of lyrics on my original stuff. Whatever you used, if was simple, sounds really good here.
  20. Nice guitar. Thank you for sharing it here.

  21. Jblue that is one classy guitar. Wow.
  22. I do not profess much expertise in that area, but I do have to think that there would not be much motivation to build fake early 70s Gibsons.
  23. Welcome to the Gibson Acoustic forum Stringalong and 667 - String, you've really sent a wave into the crowd with your mother's guitar - thanks for sharing the story and photos, will be interesting to follow - 667 - saw that you just brought home a Heritage - how does it sound? The double X bracing is not generally regarded as a must have feature - but every once in awhile we hear about one of those models being quite good - hope you found one of the good ones!
