  1. JD - nice style! J45 sounds terrific - very clean playing, liked it, Post more !
  2. A friend of mine once backed me up with a broom. We painted it blue and called it a "blues broom". We stuck a mic on the floor - and it was the perfect effect. Neil Young's "Harvest Moon".
  3. Sounds good here ! That little guitar sure is taking a beating, I kept waiting for it to blow up ! Great delivery.
  4. DL: New acoustic Gibsons are good for the soul. You play a box?
  5. Fun hollowbody Fran. I listed my Sheraton for sale, and sold it... to my son, so its still in my rack. This is the Acoustic section of the forum, you'll find some good folks here. There's a whole section in this forum for Epiphone too - and I'll bet they'd like to see some news and pics from a new Epi owner too. http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/forum/47-epiphone/
  6. A 'bird with rosewood. Excellent !
  7. I'll be interested to hear what the issues are - from other SC owners we hear lots of good things.
  8. Fabulous looking Banner there !
  9. Great`sound out of this setup. I wish I knew your language, this is a wonderful sounding song.
  10. "Even I Ask Why" Very stunning song. This one has wings.

  12. Wrote this on a Martin dreadnaught almost a dozen years ago, had to give it a turn on the new SJ.
  13. Song written by a very talented friend of mine. Wouldn't you know it, tuned down half a step and its still just a tad out of my range. Still trying to get the sound on my Q3HD camera to settle down - it will take me at least a few more trys to get 'er dialed in.
  14. Some good pickin' in there ! I'm not much of a sound engineer / recording guy, but is there room to back down the gain a bit? Clipping and distortion.
  15. Wickepedia would gree with you: "The shells of abalones have a low and open spiral structure, and are characterized by several open respiratory pores in a row near the shell's outer edge. The thick inner layer of the shell is composed of nacre or mother-of-pearl, which in many species is highly iridescent, giving rise to a range of strong and changeable colors, which make the shells attractive to humans as decorative objects, and as a source of colorful mother-of-pearl." It sure looks good on guitars!
  16. Those compliment that guitar very nicely ! Glad it had a good affect on the tone for you.
  17. Bravo ! I need to start listening to more LL - this is good song - loved listening, thanks !
  18. Hello ! You've stumbled into a delightful forum here - congrats on the Gibson acquisition !
  19. Good song PM, suits the trio of players very well.
  20. Hey, thanks for the background Rob - San Francisco music scene in those mid/late 60s must've been nusto at times. If you ever get close to the Rockies in Colorado, give me a heads-up and we'll bang out a couple of tunes in the mountain air !
  21. Most excellent ! Love the style, and all the instruments, wow, I would never have the patience, metter of fact I don't even have the patience to figure out Garage Band. I have a soft voice - and find that the microphone needs to have a giant amount of sensitivity for me to sound good. I have no idea what a snowball microphone is, but I think you'd have fun with a large diaphragm condenser mic.
