  1. Hello High Plains! At the homecoming in Bozeman I played a J-45 TV off the wall at Music Villa. If I didn't already own one, that guitar would have followed me home. Keep up the playing (its a hoot!) and save yer nickels - there's plenty of nice J-45s still being built, perhaps one will have your name on it.
  2. That guitar really records well. Difficult song to keep that tempo and picking going - wonderful performance.
  3. Jason, Norman, Brian - Howdy! Post some pictures when you feel so inclined http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/ Love to see 'em, and hear all the stories. Welcome aboard gentlemen. Interesting and diverse discussions around here.
  4. CBA - sounds like a gallant quest - Good Luck !
  5. welcome Reb ! Those re-issue RW Banner SJs are rumored to be rather rare. I'll bet it is magnificent !
  6. Like 'em all, but if they were metered, the J-45 sees the most playing time.
  7. Southern Son - Nice sunbursts ! Welcome to the coolest forum on the web !
  8. I am not a collector, I am a player. In today's world I suppose a decision is made somewhere in a guitars life, that it is a "player" and not a colletable. If I was in the market for a Vintage player, it would be important to me that the instrument is solid, and that as much as possible has period correct appointments = bridge, tuners, headstock & frets. The last thing on my list would be a top refininsh, not at all desired. There is a 40;s J-45 that has sat on a dealer's shelf for more than a year now that is a helluva player, but the refinish is not done well, and so it sits.
  9. Thanks for the Intro there 99 ! Is your whole house upside down? Lot of J-45 love in this group so for sure you're in a friendly place.
  10. Amazing work! Hats off to you on breathing new life into that guitar.

  12. At 4 minutes - sure sounds like a second voice - must be magic. This is a very good song.
  13. Magnificant ! Stunning guitar work. Did you use the J-200 for this song? It does not matter, whichever guiar it was it sounds superb. Nice voice - loved the overlay of the second voice - I wish I knew your language, this sounds like a terrific song.

  19. Ethan - sounds like you've found a great circle! If I had any mountainman in me I'd strap my J45 to my back and hike the 10 miles to jam with you, but mebee this summer I can drive the loop with a flyrod and a gitbox, and play some of your stuff! Welcome to the forum !
