It would be great if it were taller & could hold more water.
-
The bigger one would be great but it’s too big for my Studio.. I have a space that’s 15” wide between a door to a Closet & a door to a Bath room that a Tower type would fit perfect & not be in the way of anything..
-
I don't think the Le Voit is going to work out. There is nothing wrong with it other than it doesn't fit in my small studio.. A Tower type would be preferable.. Would this be a good choice for my 11 X 13 Studio? https://aircareproducts.com/humidifiers/tower-d46720/

The J12-16GT are really good 12 Strings IMO…. The D-35’s are fantastic 6 or 12 String Guitars as well. I haven’t played many of the 00 or 000 Series but the couple I’ve played have left me wanting one or both of them too.. I’d definitely need to play several as I have a lot to learn about them.. I don’t like nit pickers & usually reject their offers as they will most likely be trouble down the road.. There are some People I prefer not to Sell to.

I currently have 13 Guitars out in the Room too… To be re-humidified..

Where I live, Palm Springs, Ca., it’s hot so I run A/C all day this time of year & thru Summer… I did leave the door closed & humidity started at 29%. After a few hours it was 32% in my 11 X 13 Room… It used aprox a gallon of Distelled water… That’s another question. From what I read on all the Humidifiers I don’t see anything that states Distilled or Purified Water is required. Whether they have reusable Filter or not.. Can Tap Water be used in all of them?

Thanks. It won’t be here til late July or August… It will be a great companion to my 1975 D-35E & J12-16GTE…

Truss Rod wrench for Epiphone Les Paul
Larsongs replied to tealeafreadinggypsy's topic in Epiphone Electrics
This usually comes with Gibsons.. It is a handy little Tool to keep in the Case.. https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Gear/Cleaning-and-Care/ATMT-01/default -
I vote Bigsby too…

I would want 15-20% off a new 2022 & expect at least the same or better for a 2020…. I just ordered a new Martin HD-28E with LR Baggs Anthem Element & did the above…
-
It did match up.. I got it at Home Depot. It’s made by Accurite & cost $14.00… It shows current Temperature & Humidity. As well as the High & Low Temperature & Humidity of the day..

Where are you located? Have you been humidifying your room for some time? If the Hygrometers are registering just air humidity is it taking into account the Room & Guitars internal Humidity? I wouldn’t think so.. Especially if you’ve been humidifying your Room for some time.. But, I don’t know for sure?

I went to their website & typed in the model #HD1409 & this is their Link, https://www.sylvane.com/aircare-valiant-whole-house-humidifier.html?_srt=ssr&keywords=hd1409 It looks good but do you think it's overkill for an 11X13 Room?? I like the idea of a 5 Gallon tank & able to use Tap Water.. How expensive are the filters & how often do you change them? Is there a way to check if your Guitar is at a proper Humidity level?? And, if so, how? And, what is the proper humidity level?? Thanks..

Question; OK, I turned on the Humidifier, my 11 X 13 room humidity is 30%. I set the humidifier for 40% humidity.. over the course of 3-4 hours the humidity in the room increased to 34%. It took a gallon of water to achieve that.. Seems like it will take a ton of water & a lot of time to get to just 40% humidity.. I’ll literally have to run this thing 24 hours & several days to get to 40%.. Which I’ll try to do til the room reaches 40% & Guitars are rehumidified. How will I know my Guitars are re-humidified? Next question, the minute I opened the door to my Studio the humidity escaped. In a short time the room dropped from 34% back 30% humidity.. If I can get the Room to 40% humidity for a few days & when I open the Door, Even though the room humidity dropped, will the Guitars still retain any humidity increase? Seems like they should….

I waited 18 months for my Royal Tan Right Handed Epiphone USA Casino.. It was a pain but it was worth it….

It’s great when wishes & dreams come true… At least the Case is Red! LOL! Enjoy!

The Humidifier arrived today via Amazon Prime.. Quick! Set it up easily.. Simple & straight forward.. It does show the current % of Humidity in the room. The desired % of Humidity can be set on a Remote control or on the Unit itself.. It will automatically shut of when the desired % of humidity is reached.. I've got it set to 40% & will adjust from there as necessary.. I also purchased an inexpensive Digital Temp & Humidity Guage at Home Depot.. $14.00.. Surprisingly, even though I live in the Desert the humidity is 31%. I expected it to be much lower.. Today is about 80 degrees, Sunny as is normal for this time of year. We do have an unusual bit of a breeze today..

Yeah, It’s almost a little funny to think any rare Guitar in this day is a highly valuable Collectible. Guess it’s like Cars.. There have been millions of Cars over the Years.. Lots that are rare.. And in many cases no one cares.. But, there are a Group of Cars that really made a mark & for that reason have become valuable Collectibles… Some aren’t even rare.. Like ‘69 Camaros.. Just because a Guitar is rare doesn’t instantly make it a valuable Collectible. Especially when few have even heard of it.. But, in this market, People seem to have money to burn, so why not put a ridiculous price on it & see if someone bites?

Do like a lot of Sellers do, put a ridiculously high Price on it & accept reasonable offers..

This one seems to get excellent reviews & has all the bells & whistles.. I went ahead & ordered the Levoit Ultrasonic 6L Warm & Cool Humidifier today.. I’ll order the Hygrometer tomorrow.. Any other recommendations for them are appreciated. Thanks, L https://levoit.com/products/lv600hh-hybrid-ultrasonic-humidifier

Great info… Luckily, I think I’m catching the early signs of problems & hopefully with a good Humidifier can prevent any further drying & shrinking. And, hopefully rehumidifying will reverse some, most or all the shrinking & drying. I’m going to check out those D ‘Addario humidifier’s for Guitars in their Cases.. The Levoit Ultrasonic gets good reviews & may be the way to go.. I’ll keep you all posted.. Thanks, L

I used to keep my Guitars in their Cases & for the most part still do.. But, I have been leaving several out over the past few years. Time takes it toll! For sure I should have added a Humidifier some time ago… I’ve read that after a Guitar is rehumidified the wood will expand. Thereby correcting Necks with rough Fret edges & Bodies on Acoustic and Electric Guitars.. Is this true?
-
I’ll check out YouTube! Thanks
-
It’s listed on 1 or 2 Websites as a good choice for Guitars.. Do you use it for Guitars? I have Acoustic’s, Hollow & Semi Acoustic Electric’s & Electric Solid Bodies… Thanks
-
I’m going to check into that.. Thanks
