mountainpicker Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 I have never liked the visual aesthetics of a Strat headstock on an acoustic guitar, except for Merle Travis' Martin done up by Bisby(?) and only then because it was Merle effin Travis! If it was me running Fender's acoustic division I'd quit trying to connect to a weak acoustic past and develop some new designs and features and forge new territory into the future. Hell, you got Ren Ferguson to come over to your side, turn the man loose in his (probable) twilight years and pioneer something new and good that the major acoustic guitar buying demographic would want to try out and possibly buy.
