MissouriPicker Posted July 3, 2013 Share Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah, Emmylou has played Gibsons for years now. Almost always with a least a dreadnaught-sized guitar, more often one of the super jumbos. Saw her back in the mid 80's when she had The Hot Band. She was playing a black J200, wearing a cowboy hat and a short buckskin dress, and cowboy boots. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), she was smokin' hot. A true songbird. .........Several years ago Gibson started making an Emmylou version of the J200. I played a used one at GC. Sounded good. A bit smaller at the waist and bottom I think. Don't know if I've seen her playing one on video more than once or twice. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Saw her with Buddy & Julie Miller, good as it gets., For years and still, I believe, she's occasionally played Gram Parsons old SJ-200 that she had pieced back together.
