Yeah, I'm a pretty huge fan. And I'm pretty confident I'll wind up popping for the box. I've got a birthday right around the release date and I'm hoping someone will decide it would be the perfect gift. But, as I said, I'm pretty confident I'll wind up popping for the box.

I hope you get it! I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this one. There is a smaller boxed set with just the albums inside, as well as a vinyl only set too I believe.

I never considered myself a "fan" of The Clash as I do with bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, or U2, etc.... But I have always liked them, and several of their songs I dig immensely. "Police and Thieves", "Stay Free", "Train In Vain" (of course) to name a few.

"The Story of The Clash" has been on my "to-buy list" for years now… but has always managed to elude me!

Well worth the money that one. There is a new compilation due out at the same time as the boxed sets.

Great band, I haven't heard of them in a while.

Well, Joe Strummer passed away in 2002 after forming Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros. Mick Jones Formed Big Audio Dynamite, and now does the odd guest appearance with other bands. Paul Simonon formed Havana 3AM, and worked as a session musician for a while, then went back to his first love before The Clash - art. Topper Headon had a brief solo career in the 80s and released an album. [thumbup]
