They don't call him the "Craftsman" for nothing!

MissouriPicker
Clark is an original. Here's a fairly recent article about him. Interesting how life molds our writing. Clark is no doubt at the top-of-the-heap when it comes to songwriters, but don't let that deter you from writing. Clark is a great inspiration. http://www.austinchronicle.com/music/2013-07-19/we-were-from-texas/

The G
The imagery created in Guy Clark's songs is intoxicating. I'm a big fan.
jt
just looks like green beans on the table to me... Edamame, prepared by Michiko Lima, wife of Nato Lima, of Los Indios Tabajaras. We were in Nato's apartment in NYC. Here's a photo of the gang, including Nato on the left and Muriel Anderson in the far corner and Nato on the couch. I later convinced Nato to play a guitar, which turned out to be the last time he played. An extraordinary day, to put it mildly.

jt
Those ARE green beans on the table No, they are edamame. The food at Nato's apartment was as good as the music that day.
zombywoof
What about the homegrown tomatoes because as we all know, only two things money can't buy - true love and homegrown tomatoes.

MissouriPicker
Here's a good interview with Clark. At the end he performs a song he wrote about his wife. http://www.popmatters.com/feature/172961-writing-songs-and-building-guitars-an-interview-with-guy-clark/
