duluthdan
Thermally cured.- thats the new thing. Great to see the pick guard placement not infringing on the rosette. Wish he could of given us more than just one strum ! I suspect these will sound sublime.

Wish he could of given us more than just one strum ! I suspect these will sound sublime. Huss & Dalton, Bourgeois and others are doing it. Everybody is raving about the sound of these guitars. And personally, for the record, I think it is a smart move to bring the pickguard to the edge of the soundhole.
slimt
Never heard of the curing process before.. .. something new? whats the long term effect going to be? Why Now? and I guess whats the price for fast forwarding age?

Maybe on a Hummingbird, but not on a J-45. I just don't like right to me.......
MontanaJoe
A lot of folks are calling torrefied soundboards the only real breakthrough in guitar technology in twenty years (article here) Hope so. At my age I can't wait for a guitar to age-in like I use to. ;)

May not look right but I have seen way too many with the edges of the soundhole chewed to pieces.

EuroAussie
Furch has been using an aging process on some of their guitars, basically its meant to use enzymes and dry out the top and formulate it to how it would be after 60 years of aging. True or not, my 5 year old Furch OM has matured more than any of my guitars, and really does sound like a 60 year old guitar in terms of complexity and richness, so I reckon there might be something in it.
