omni43
I can find nothing in writing anywhere as to the origin of manufacture. Has anyone heard a verifible answer? Or has anyone actually played one? They are great looking guitars, and if they are quality, the price is great.

Don't let the snobs fool you. They've been making excellent guitars there for many years now. Yes I do have one, but I've got 2 Gibsons too; and I still say Epis are good. I have more than a few Epi's...a Chinese Dot, an MIJ (Terada) Elitist Casino, an Indonesian Wildkat, a few acoustics...all are on a fit/finish qualtiy with my Gibby/Carvin/PRS brethren. Don't look down at Epi's

Can not agree more, I have several Gibsons, 5 Les Pauls, a Recording guitar, and 2 SG's but I play mostly my Epiphone Arch tops. I have several older Korean made Epi's but I have the newer Chinese made models, too and they are great players. I have 2 $3000 Gibsons sitting in a closet while my Epiphones are doing some recording now... AND I don't think you can beat the Epi acoustics, either.
