IanHenry
Interesting film where Bernie Marsden, the owner of "The Beast" talks about vintage guitars and compares an R8 with 50's vintage Les Pauls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxsg0pji2YE Ian

pippy
Thanks for posting, Ian. Very interesting stuff. FWIW my own impression at the end of the comparison between the three historics (actually as soon as Bernie played the '60 R-I) was the same as the reviewer. I'm not quite sure about the Eric Clapton part in the story of 'The Beast', though, unless EC sold two different LPs to Koss. The one I "know" as having been traded between the two has a very well-documented history (including having been owned by Paul Rogers) and was a '58 dark-burst; not a CSB. Yet Jack Bruce, Jeff Beck and Andy Fraser all seem to think 'The Beast' was, at some point in time, Eric's. Very Curious. Pip.
