crust
I have a silver 2 pickup Epiphone Explorer which is great. The one pickup thing and the entire package deal looks good to me too. But, has anyone played one ? And what about the amp tones ? Thanks.
sparquelito
It's a starter pack for kids just looking to get into the guitar. Chances are that the MityPRO Mini-Amplifier sounds quite tinny and small on its own, given that it's a 3w micro-amp featuring a 3" speaker. But cabled to ones PC or Mac, (and using the Rocksmith online instruction system) it has great potential to sound quite good. (That all depends upon the quality of the computer's speakers, or the nature of the sound system connected to the computer.) As for the guitar itself, it's a one hundred dollar beginner's model. I held one in a pawn shop a few months ago, and the overall feel and balance was quite nice, but the fret ends were rough, and the single pickup (plugged into an old Peavey amp) sounded merely average. It lacked punch, but that's to be expected from an inexpensive guitar. All in all, it's a terrific starter pack for beginners, since it's a plug-and-play combo right out of the box, fresh from under the Christmas tree. And it looks really cool. But very few veteran guitar players would go out of their way to acquire one. :)
diskotekno
I got one purely out of boredom and how cheap the package was. Guitar looks neat and is perfectly serviceable. The amp ended up in the bin pretty quick. Very unpleasant sounding thing.
