kidblast
hey RCT on that Esquire... remind me,, what does the toggle switch do? BTW.. Squire Classic Vibe Tele's are pretty amazing for the $$$.
Dub-T-123
I'm not rct but the switch does this Bridge position = pickup and volume pot Middle position = pickup and volume and tone pot Neck position = bassy setting where a cap rolls off all high end at a fixed setting Side note - the pickup selector switch on modern telecasters is not how the original worked. The original had the bassy setting in the neck position as well
rct
I'm no thanks rct but the switch does this Bridge position = pickup and volume pot Middle position = pickup and volume and tone pot Neck position = bassy setting where a cap rolls off all high end at a fixed setting Side note - the pickup selector switch on modern telecasters is not how the original worked. The original had the bassy setting in the neck position as well All true. At the dawn of Leo's genius, guitar players could ostensibly thumb through some bass lines while chording, and that front pickup position was supposed to help them do that convincingly. I do use that sometimes, not often though. After Precision took off they changed the Tele switch but left the Esquire as it was. rct
kidblast
thanks for the lesson on that. I often wondered "what the heck" when I see an esquire with one pup and a toggle.
