Heritage Guitar and the owners of 225 Parsons Street will be hosting a 225 Parsons Street 100th Anniversary Celebration. Private event Friday, September 8 and public event Saturday, September 9. A recent trip around the block on google maps Street View showed the ’stack in the process of being dismantled, or carefully demo’ed (only the “o” and “n” remaining): . . . was this so that it could be reconstructed, or only for building/safety reasons? [EDIT: I see some letters over the left shoulder of the proposed renovation ] Maybe an update will given during the anniversary. The owners asked me to visit a few months ago to tour the construction process. I snapped this pic of one of my Banners: I've be visiting again, obviously, to attend the 100th events. jt Posted August 27, 2017 Author Share Posted August 27, 2017 Saturday's public event runs from 11:am to 6:00 pm and will include free food and drink, tours of the building, a "State of the Factory" talk at 3:30 pm, and some great musical acts, uh, plus me on a Banner Gibson. Well, I imagine that there will be a 200th celebration! :) I don't imagine that this will be replicated, but the completed building will have a performance space.
