Plush Lining Failing on my TV Cali Case

Folks,

 

 

The lining of my Sj 200 TV’s Cali case is starting to come undone in a few spots (the glue has clearly failed/ dried up).

 

 

Has anyone had this same issue?

 

Any advice on how to reglue the loose spots?

'Just had a look at the 2007 TV case- the lining is ever so slightly pulling away on the treb side of the lower bout, where the edge of the guitar might contact the side lining when putting the guitar back in the case, but hardly worth doing anything about, and it does not seem to be getting worse. If that's where yours is pulling away (a photo would be helpful), StewMac does sell glue syringes, but something laying around the house could probably be found to get some glue in there. Good luck.

I might contact TKL or Cedar Creek and see what glue they use for this. It's probably some form of contact cement, but you don't want anything that might react with the nitro finish while the solvents flash off.

Go to any fabric or craft store and grab some Aleene's fabric glue.

 

But the bottom line is the cases built by TKL and Guardian or whomever supplied to most guitar companies these days are crap. I have had to return the last two I purchased for a couple of my el cheapo because the latches did not even line up.
