Whitefang Hmmmmmmmm. Once Yoko comes in, and starts doing whatever its call she does with her voice (sometime I think they just choke a cat at dub it in) I can't listen anymore. As big a Beatles nut as I am, I don't listen to much of the lads solo stuff. John 's stuff had Joko on some of his stuff, and it turns me off, Ringo is a great drummer, but a terrible singer IMHO, George made one good album with an entire album of a jam session with a lot of stoned guys that didn't need to be released, and Macca made a lot of great albums, but some of his stuff is as soft as a porn star before they pop a blue pill on the set. The entire Speed Of Sound album for example, oh and McCartney II. And pretty much anything after Back To The Egg, at least for me, which wasn't that great either, but had a few good nuggets on it. How many time in the past decade have you put on John's Sometime In NYC, or Mind Games, or the Double Garbage album he did with Yoko. Gone Troppo, or Cloud Nine from George anyone? Almost anything by Ringo. The Ringo album was alright, but not spectacular. Goodnight Vienna as about the same as Ringo and the rest of his stuff is awful. Edited June 1, 2022 by Sgt. Whitefang On Georges first 3 albums, he only wrote maybe a total 4 of the songs on there. The rest were covers. I do love his version of Who Do You Love? and One Bourbon is always funny to hear the beggining part before the song really starts. Everybody funny, now you funny too. Yeah, I seem to like the early Periods of most Artists & Bands.. Particularly Elvis 1956.. I thought his movies up to & including “Loving You” were his best.. “The Rolling Stones” all of the Brian Jones Period. “The Beatles” when they were all together as a Group.. I tried to like Aftermath, Between The Buttons, Out Of Out Head, 12x5, Decembers Children, ect, but they don't do anything for me. Sgt. Pepper Posted July 13, 2022 Share Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) A guy that works at The Carolina Opry with me saw the Elvis movie the other night and said he would give it 9 out of 10 Elvis's. He said the reason he down graded it was because in the credits and once during the movie they used rap music. Rap was not a music genera then, and yep you gotta sell tickets and people love that c-rap music, so put it in to sell a few more tix.
