suzyqt182
Hi all, Im trying to determine if this hummingbird is authentic. I’m in a small town and it’s at a pretty decent price. The lack of trust rod cover makes me question its authenticity. Any insight?
E-minor7
Have the feeling most of us would say nay. It looks like an okay copy, but the pickguard is totally off. The thin back braces are interesting. Indicates the rest of the bracing is just as slim, , , which would make a good sounding cheap guitar. Advice : Take an extra interior check and slam the dollars if the X-bird can sing. .
Dave F
Two pearl dots next to bridge pins missing Hard to see the sound hole inner rosette but it should be WBWBW

There were actually years with dotless bridges too.

A s/n with a year may help.

fortyearspickn
Shoulders look a little too round and the pick guard looks a little too small.

Jinder
Very much a fake, sadly. Such a shame when people try to pass off tat like this as genuine. It’s hard to tell how far back up the line the fakery goes though…this owner, previous owner, original seller…
