Okram
Question regarding my 1976 ES335 with some neck separation. what is the process for neck reset? does the fingerboard need to be removed first? what type of glue was used on these?
Sgt. Pepper
I would think they would both be removed as a unit since they are glued together.
merciful-evans
Can you post pictures? Does the neck really need a re-set or does it just need some glue squeezed in a fissure? I don't know what glue they used in 76, but I think hide glue would be easier to work. It can become soft and liquify at about 145 deg F

Can't think anything else - unless something extra complicated ravages the equation.

rct
Yeah, you gotta problem there. Strings off, get it to someone who knows what they are doing. The tenon is pulling, needs a reset. rct
