I was looking for a new amp and your "Looks like I may have to buy a new amp - dammit!" thread made me look at a Hot Rod Deville. I'm glad to say I bought a 410 a few days ago. So, thank you. Mr. Robot Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 I have never tried the De Ville - but if it is anything like the US Hot Rod Deluxe I can recommend it. I have a US Hot Rod Deluxe, which is a little smaller but looks very similar to the De Ville in color and finish. The amp is amazing. A lot of guys here talk about problems with having to play at too high a volume in a small house to get decent natural overdrive in a valve amp. Well let me tell you, not in this little baby. Well, I have never had that problem with the Deluxe. It produces lovely warm overdrive at very low volumes with the second drive channel - and I dont have to annoy any neighbors or resort to any artificial effects that interfere with the tone.
