jgwoods
Makes me appreciate my J-185TV all the more. I will never have the money for an original, nor think mine is going to appreciate like those, but it is a heck of a guitar and I'm keeping it! jaxson50
I was looking at the picture of the orig., owner picking that sweet old Gibby, look at the guy playing the banjo next to him, doesn't he look like a really young Tom T. Hall?

MisterGibs
Wow, what a beautiful story and what a wonderful guitar! 19 years in the closet - I think it is pretty much for this treasure. It makes me think how many closets keep such things to rest in peace? I am sick these days and waking up this morning, seeing the snow falling down I red this and it made my day. Buc McMaster
Gorgeous example of an old Gibson! Looks to be in most excellent condition and I expect it sounds as nice as it looks. One day fifty, sixty or even a hundred years from now someone will find one of our old Gibsons under the bed or in the closet and they will "ooo and ahhh" over what we hold in our hands today, and they will sigh and long for the good old days when guitars were wooden and craftsmanship was a source of pride. So hold on to your Gibson, take care of it for the future and someday it will be the fine old vintage guitar this J185 is today.
