Dband
I just bought Schaller strap locks, and i got the neck screw to work fine with the original screw but the heel screw is a little bigger, I have heard about using toothpicks and glue, but i was wondering if you guys have used or have heard of other options (or if the supplied Schaller screw is fine by itself)

Rewddawg1
Sometimes you can drill out the hole in the Schaller button as long as the Gibson screw head will still fit all the way down inside the Schaller button countersink.

If he is too scared to try the schaller screw I don't think he'll touch it with a drill.
NeoConMan
I have heard about using toothpicks and glue DOH! It's really not that hard to do it right ya know... Use the original Gibson screws and modify the strap pin as needed. If the head of the screw is too wide, grind it down slightly. Blackie
Why do we have to grind a screw down.........can't these companies come up with the right darn screw that will work. They should include a couple different screws that will have whatever guitar covered.
