GibSinCity
You don't seem to have watched the video. I kind of think fast playing being musical is opinion. It can be used in cool' date=' artistic ways instead of just showing off or soloing. It's useful but not necessary. [/quote'] No, I didn't watch the video. I started to, but found it a bit boring, he sounds like a confused GPS unit. But that doesn't change my opinion on fast playing. I also think along the lines that "Fast playing is a musical opinion, and can be used in cool, artistic ways instead of just showing off or soloing", just like you. As stated in my post: "It can be a useful tool when it compliments the music, weather it's a change of tempo that adds dynamics to the song, or a balls-out race from start to finish that serves the song. It's completely up to the artist and their self expression".
Mr. Natural
Using cars is cheating. I say Bernie Williams can beat Yngwie or Paul Gilbert or any of those guys in a foot race, ANY day.
FirstMeasure
I bet Kelly Pickler and Gretchen Wilson would win in a Car Race, country girls always drive fast and reckless (hows that for a broad brush stroke). I think Lowell George would win a Feats race.
