mcmurray
I just can not believe it. Needless to say I'll be travelling as far as necessary to see this. It's been 30 years since Pink Floyd released 'The Wall' and founding member Roger Waters has performed it 31 times since then. He's looking to more than double that number this year as he celebrates the album's big anniversary by launching a massive North American tour, during which he'll perform 'The Wall' in its entirety, backed by a full band and state-of-the-art production that's suitable for, well, Pink Floyd. http://www.spinner.com/2010/04/12/roger-waters-the-wall-tour/ http://music-mix.ew.com/2010/04/12/roger-waters-wall-tour/ http://www.rogerwaters.com/

mcmurray
I hope this tour isn't North America only!
mcmurray
Between him and Gilmour; even though Dave was not a original member he is more Floyd that Waters as far as Vocals and Guitar playing go. To bad they did not get back together before a death ended that possibility for ever. They did get back together and IMO Waters is just as much Pink Floyd that Dave is, if not moreso. Waters was the mastermind of the band.
myspace.com/jessenoah
lets not derail the thread with gilmore V waters banter (even though I personally wouldnt pay to see pink floyd without david gilmore) Im anticipating that all the visual and musical aspects with be top notch! mcmurray
Did anyone see the Dark Side tour? Roger's band were exemplary. This guy had lead guitar duties: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Kilminster
deepblue
Cant David & Roger get along for a few hours each night on stage?.....geez, the Stones do it. They need the proper motivation $$$$
GIANTRobOT420
I saw him in 99. Its was cool but not the same. He had Doyle Bramhall II covering the guitar duty and vocals.
retrosurfer1959
Mind blowing show - I saw the non-original version in Berlin in 1990. Don't know if it was the concert, the unbelievable location or the huge international crowd of 300k + but it was the most amazing concert I've ever seen strangely enough Cyndi Lauper was probably the hi-light of the whole show. zigzag
Absolutely, don't forget Richard Wright's tremendous contribution to the band. He passed around a year and a half ago.
zigzag
Has it been that long ago? Wow seems like maybe 4 months but not that long. Yeah' date=' it does to me too. He passed just before the release of Gilmour's [u']Live in Gdansk[/u] CD/DVD. That is a great CD, and listening to/watching it, it is easy to forget that Waters was ever in the band. djroge1
I think probably most would agree that PF is best with waters and gilmour but as it is it seems they cannot get along. I've seen the PF dave version twice (Atlanta & London) and both shows were excellent. I really have no desire to see waters do a version of PF without gilmour and his excellent guitar work. If you get to see the show I'm sure you'll love it so have a good time.
