Thundergod
And the VOX AC30cc2x kicked the **** out of the Laney Lionheart. Not that I don't think the Lionheart is a great amp, one of the best I have played, but the AC30 was louder with better cleans, more clean headroom and better OD at higher levels. The Lionheart is better at lower levels. Strange thing is, my VOX AC30 is one of the previous incarnations, made by KORG in China. My Laney Lionheart is one of the amps Laney has focused their marketing campaign on, and it's made in the UK. Played both with the same 3 guitars at a gig (after rehearsing with both separately, I noticed how different they were during soundcheck).

brundaddy
It's so much fun playing through multiple cranked amps.
Dub-T-123
Yep. The AC30 freakin rocks. Awesome deep and loud cleans and sweet sounding OD. And it only seems to get better the louder it is. I'm honestly opposed to buying products that are made in China. This is just the amp I wanted and the price was right and it's a really great sounding amp. I'm impressed that you prefer it over the Laney. That's cool.
Murph
The AC30 is a class A EL84 based amp just like my Boogie. The newer Mesa Lone Star Special is too. They are very sweet. I love EL84 based amps. The Carvin Bel Air/Nomad, is another one. They're sweetest when they are just about to melt down.......
