FrankS1281734010
i've been thinking about changing all the chrome hardware on my LP to gold to get that lp custom-kinda look, sans binding. the only thing is, i wanna put open-coil pups in it, but i can't seem to find any with gold polepieces. anyone know of anywhere where i might be able to find them? RotcanX
Yeesh. You'd have to get the pickups out of a Custom, a Sheraton, an Explorer or a Flying V. I don't think there are many if any aftermarket manufacturers that offer this option.

Oh I guess any of the Gibson pickups that come with gold covers would have gold pole pieces. Up to you if you want to take the covers off or not. iansmitchell
Don't gibson dirty fingers have brass or gold polepieces?
matiac
I dunno about polepieces, but I took my T-tops and replaced the steel screws with gold ones...looks pretty sharp against the chrome other stuff.
lpdeluxe
I installed a set of Seymour Duncan "Silver" pickups I got from MF in my Sheraton II. They have chrome covers with gold pole piece screws. It would be fairly easy to pop off the chrome covers and replace them with gold ones. If that's what I wanted, but I don't.
