1999nbmZ1281734025
Couldn't sit by looking at pics any more, had to grab one. Check out the flame on the lower horn! Didn't even notice that in the store...

Alan1281734120
very nice mate. I want the full scratch plate for my G400 looks so much better also, I wish Epiphone put binding around the neck like on the Gibson model SG's and other Epiphones guitars ie, the Les Paul. FrankS1281734010
Does anyone know if the '66 G-400's have the same body shape as the regular '62 ones?
pohatu771
Does anyone know if the '66 G-400's have the same body shape as the regular '62 ones?Assuming two examples were made in the same factory, I assume the only difference is the size of the pickguard. 1999nbmZ1281734025
I did notice that the neck was wider and deeper than a '61 RI i was interested in at the same time if that helps.
IntelligentAl
HNGD! Very nice looking G-400 you have there. Congrats!
charlie brown
Beveling isn't nearly as pronounced, as the '61's though. That's one thing, I wish even Gibson would go back to, on their standard (non custom shop/VOS) models. But, it's a nice looking guitar, just the same. Congrats! 1999nbmZ1281734025
Awesome guitar. I have a '66 in Ebony and it is a great guitar. Hey post some pics of that if you can. I was told they didn't make it in black, just cherry and silverburst.
SkEpTiKaL
Hey post some pics of that if you can. I was told they didn't make it in black' date=' just cherry and silverburst.[/quote'] They did make them in black. The Heritage Cherry was called the 1966 G-400 and the Ebony was called 1966 G-400 Reissue (for whatever reason, because it's hardly a reissue of itself) Here is a picture:
rextasy
Yes, the '66 Limited is a nice guitar. I'd never seen flame like that on a cherry SG, but it's very attractive.
