charlie brown
Looks legit, to me. Not sure what the going price is, for Matsumoku Casino's of that vintage. Could be a bit high, or not? (Like anything else, it's whatever the buyer will pay, I guess?) Seems to be in average to good condtion, for it's age. Hard to tell, by just photos, though. Nelson
Hello all' date=' I came across this Ebay auction, http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Epiphone-Casino_W0QQitemZ230317765033QQihZ013QQcategoryZ118985QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I defer to the knowledge base of the forum, does it look good, I ask becase you just don't see many early 80's Casinos pop up. Thanks, Matt[/quote'] I've never been a fan of that sunburst and those models aren't real authentic to the vintage Casinos but most of what I just said is opinion. That said, they're pretty decent guitars...the problem is his BIN is ridiculous. Offer $550..be prepared to go to $650 but I wouldn't pay more than that. They aren't that rare and they show up on E Bay quite often. Nelson
mgrmatt
Thanks for the info guys, you confirmed what I thought about the pricing. I'm probaly not going to make an offer because I just finished a deal for a Manchester Blue Supernova. Thanks, Matt

Thanks, Matt[/quote'] I`ve got two of them and they are bloody great (plus a Lennon 65 Reissue to compare them against, so I should know!!). But what Nelson says is spot on, although to be fair prices do appear to be starting to rise on these, and there is currently another on eBay with a BIN of $1600 (see item number 190277209953), now that is silly. Everything in the vintage market has lost at least 30% of what it was last year. I know a major guitar shop on the verge of going under and two or three of my vintage dealer friends have stopped selling until things get better in the economy. Things are not good here in the guitar market. $600 USD is a fair price for those Matsumoku Casinos but even at that I doubt more than a few are selling.
