Small flaw in finish, easy fix?

So I've been torturing my dogs ears with my new Sheri and last night I felt something on the neck, a sharp point.

Can't hardly see it with out a magnifying glass but you can feel it.

Upon further inpection it appears to be a grain of sand in the finish or a bubble.

Either way it's no big deal and you hardly ever feel it but knowing it's there bugs me.

Anyway to remove something like this with out screwing up the finish?

I was wondering about real fine steel wool, 2000 grit paper, polishing compound etc......

I know I could take it back but this was the only one he had and I'm getting attached to it :)

Thanks,

+1 on both suggestions.

If you get a tiny bit of finish messed up.. min wax wipe on poly can be put over epi finishes with a paper towel..

and just on a spot, too..

but it's good to buff it when you've finished to kep any sort of lines around the area smooth.

I doubt you'll have to go that far.
