Got the casino! PICTURES!

They're Epiphone "Kluson" knock-offs! Never cared for the greenish "Keystone" tuners on the Epi headstock, for some reason. I like them on the Gibson headstock, but for some reason they look "out of place" on the Epi. Maybe it's the curves on the Epi headstock??? They don't look bad, on the LP or SG heastocks...but on the Casino and Dot...it just seems "wrong" to me. ;>b

I DO like "Grover" Rotomatics, on Epi's (and Gibson, too..for that matter). So, IF "I" was going to change machine heads, it would be "Grovers!" Either "Kluson" style (like the stock ones), or the Rotomatics.

But....that's just Me!

Congrats, It's gorgeous I love the natural Casino's that have the really good wood tone/color some of the newer one are colorless even ashy looking...Yuck!!! I agree with you CB I'm a fan of the greenish tuning key but I too think that they look out of place on a Casino or a Dot.

thankyou very much =P~

the colour of the wood did it for me too..

i dont liek the really pale woods you see on the new models, seeing as this one is around 9 years old the wood seems to have aged nicely and the guitar sounds ace :)

Wonderfall,...in terms of quality, is this guitar from the Peerless factory inline with Japanese models?

HNGD!

The wood grain on your Peerless Casino is great. I agree the newer ones have much less "personality" (of course that's a matter of personal taste).

Here is a pic of my 2001 Peerless Casino for comparison. I feel in love with this one in the music store because I liked the wood grain, and it turned out to be a wonderful guitar.

I do hope your Casino gives you many years of pleasure.

Yes, that is a 1970 Gibson ES-330. I've had it for a long time, and I bought the Casino to play on stage as the Gibson has become a collectors item.

I didn't like the white pickguard on the Casino, I thought it caught the eye and distracted from the wood grain. And I thought the gold knobs didn't work with the light wood, so I had a pick guitar made and replaced the knobs. I thought

Although I didn't consciously try to make it look like a Gibson, I just wanted it to look better, I suppose in the end I "Gibsonized" it. ;)

Here is a Before and an After picture:

I think it looks much better with the black PG and Knobs.

I got the pickguard at Guitar Fetish, but I didn't know it at the time, our own TWANG can make one for you, and I bought the knobs on ebay.

Scarrabri: >>>>

well i had mine set up by the kind people who swapped it over but my right handed dad played it before and said it played just fine ;)

and to answer your other question it is the lightst guitar i have ever held after holding my dot which i thought was light, you really notice the difference of no big block of wood down the middle. it just seems to be a different guitar to the dot different feel, especially the feel of the neck as the casino has a slimmer profile than the larger neck of the dot.

Great guitar, hope you get one :)

love what you've done to it :)

great thinking with the black pickguard drawing the attention away from the woodgrain thats why i have mine with it off ( and to get that lennon look!)

The 330 is beautiful too, do they sound similar and is there much difference between the two guitars?
