No Way This Is Authentic . . . But Epiphone Could Take a Hint

Nobody mentioned the volute at the peghead/neck junction, is the board ebony, or dyed rosewood? I think it's an absolutely gorgeous guitar, first thing I'd do is lose those pickups. Another thing I noticed, and it could just be the picture, is the width of the peghead...wider than a normal Epiphone. Epi oughta start making them, see if they get sued. :D

Just clicked on and it stated there were no items for sale by this seller!

They were probably removed. There were loads of unanswered questions on the listings, probably questioning the legitimacy of the guitars. And I reported the listings to the site admin. I also posted them up on a loacal guitar forum, telling anyone looking at them to beware.

I received an answer from the eBay seller of the Epiphone in question:

Q: Are you making this for Epiphone or are you customizing an Epiphone? I'm not clear by what you've written. She is beautiful. Very interested. Please verify.

A: Sorry for the confusion, we customized this epiphone to give it the beautiful wood look it has!

So they get and Epi, customize it and then sell it, all at $499?

Also noted they listed it as a Standard, but it has the Custom's broken diamond inlay.

Can someone say " I smell rotting sushi?"
